After being closed for 16 years, the Crown and Kettle re-opened in 2005. This listed building has kept all its original features including a very ornate ceiling with chandeliers. The building dates back to the 19th Century, though there has been a pub on the site since at least 1734. A central island bar has been installed that is fabricated from mahogany panels salvaged from Regency House on Whitworth Street. | |||
